Football Match

Soccer in Europe is called football.

In a tapas cafe tonight in Seville we were watching the football it was Seville FC play MRB.

MRB is a team from Slovenia playing in the Champions League. The score was S3 v M0.

There was a kind waitor at this cafe and he helped with the Spanish menu. Dad and I had Spanish sausage and cheese for dinner. He also went for Barcelona football team. He was born in Barcelona but now lives in Seville. Dad used  the translator app on his phone to write a nice mesage to the spainish man to thank him for the dinner and the great night in he cafe. The translator app is very helpful when talking to Spanish people that can’t speak any engkish and we can’t speak any Spanish. Only a few Spanish words.

There was other local people there watching the football. When there was a goal everyone was cheering for Seville!!!

The next night we went back to the same place and watched Barcelona play Sporting Club Porto. I wore my Barcelona football shirt to watch the game.

Soccer is the most watched and played sport in Spain. There is soccer stadiums in all the big towns and small soccer fields for kids in every town. In the plazas you see kids kicking soccer balls all the time.
