We are not able to put our Australian plugs directly into the powerpoints. Every country as a different pins on the back of the plug.
The Australian plug looks like this. Two flat metal pins and some have a bottom flat pin. The bottom flat pin is our earth pin.
We had to bring a European plug adapter it has two round metal pins.
Without this adaptor we could not charge the phone or the iPad. You need to put the adapter into the power point then add the Australian plug.
Dad said the power is 220 volts, not like Australia that has 240 volts, but our phones and iPads still charge.
