Compostella

Last day of riding the Camino Frances!

We rode slow today to keep the same pace as mum so we could all arrive into Santiago de Compestella at the same time.

We all finally arrived in Santiago de  Compostella! There is a shell in the middle of the plaza it is the last shell we needed to stand on to complete the Camino Frances. In the plaza is the big cathedral. It has scaffolding over some parts of the outside and this has been here for a long time. Specialist stone mansions are repairing the 800 year old church.

I was able to ride my bike around the central plaza. As I rode fast the Australian flag was flying from the back of my bike.

We had to line up at the Piligim Office for 2.5 hours to present our credential passports. The man then looked at our credentials and all the stamps to check I had rode my bike for at least 200km and that each day I had at least two sello stamps. I then received my Compostella and a distance certificate. We were all very happy!

My distance certificate shows I rode 360 km.
