My mum took me after school to buy 2 chickens. Grace named her chicken Sparkles. I named my chicken chicken Rooster … he wasn’t a REAL ROOSTER, I called her that because I like the song called Rooster by Alice in Chains.
Two weeks later Nanna Sue & Poppy Pete arrived with a large box and it was making scratching sounds. We opened the box to find 3 bantam chickens! My dad rolled his eyes and said, “More chickens!!!”. Grace and I named the new bantams, Hoodie, Pecky and Sugarplum.
