Our road trip plan was to finish the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail and then head to Melbourne to watch Richmond play at the MCG. When the game was closed to spectators we headed back towards home to have two nights at Beechworth.
We zig zagged along the backroads before arriving at Beechworth.
Friday morning off to the famous Beechworth Bakery then to ride the last rail trail of this trip to Everton.
What a fun easy ride … nearly ALL DOWN HILL!
Along the rail trails not all the buildings have been restored. This photo is of the Beechworth Railway Station.
At Everton Station there is now just a shelter and pit toilet in the place of the old station.
We finished the ride and went back to Beechworth to chill for the afternoon before the footy!
Then Paul said let’s ride around Beechworth to check it out … so off we went. A couple of blocks from our cottage my chain falls off and jams and mum couldn’t fix it. Mum gives me her bike so I can keep riding and she takes my bike back. Mum walks up to meet us at the Beechworth Asylum. The old asylum is now lots of old creepy buildings.
Mum gives me my first dink back down the hill to town. At first I was a little scared as we were wobbling, but with a bit more speed mum was off!!! HANG ON FINN!!!
Mum needed a beer after that adventure!
Footy time … and Grace found her tigers scarf!
