Just before leaving the city of Pamplona we stop for 2nd breaky, not only do I order dos cafe con leche and uno hot chocolate, but I also return to the table with crossiants dipped in chocolate!
Today we don’t plan to walk very far as Taylor is flying in from Australia and arriving in Pamplona, and will shortly join the chics adventure! So with extra time we call into the Pamplona University for a stello on the way out of the city.
I’m starving as I arrive at Zariquiegui and soup is being served for lunch … even though it’s 35oC, Grace and I finish it in no time along with my usual basket of carbs!!!
Pen and Grace spend the arvo sitting by the church. Who need toys … when there is a long scarf that can bring so much laughter and joy!
Pen and I then sit in our usual afternoon positions … close by or at a bar drinking our favourite Tinto de verano’s, whilst Grace tests out another icy pole from the Spanish list. Not long after Taylor walks in and we are all excited to see him and to know that he has arrived safely. Lots of food, chatting and too much wine is consumed!
Weather – hot 35oC
