We were packed up and ready to go to Sydney International Airport. Then Penny’s watch beeped with a message our flight was CANCELLED. Queenstown airport was closed as there had been a large snow storm.
So today we spent the day in Sydney. We jumped on the train and headed to Circular Quay. I saw an old ferry in the quay named Fishburn. I studied in class about the first fleet and one of the ships was called Fishburn.
Grace wanted to see the opera house and eat icecream!
We then caught a ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour.
Paul wanted to visit the Chinese gardens. At the gardens there was an activity book to find animals amongst the gardens this was lots of fun.
There was also lots of REAL lizards some were bigger and some tiny cute ones. One of the lizards started running after Grace and I.
Thursday we boarded our flight to Queenstown! I slept most of the flight. As our plane came through the cloud layer it was VERY BUMPY, Grace thought that was fun. Out of the window I could see the massive mountains and snow! ☃️
